Dr. Matthew Smith BSc. MCHIR. - ChiropractorDr. Matthew Smith - Chiropractor

I was raised on a dairy farm as a typical "farm boy", in western Victoria. I considered Chiropractic as a profession after seeing the results my whole family got while seeing a Chiropractor, and in particular my father. While attending Chiropractic visits myself, I started to understand that Chiropractic was more of a philosophy rather than a technique or practice. This "philosophy" of removing interference and dysfunction from the body, so that it can function and heal correctly appealed to my "how things work" mindset.

I attended Macquarie University in Sydney for 5 years and completed my Bachelor of Science and Masters in Chiropractic (BSc. MCHIR). During my studies I was awarded several awards in academic excellence, including the vice chancellors award, and the graduate of the year (top of my class) on graduation.

After graduating I have gained a lot of experience in my field, having worked a year in Australia and the following 6 years working in Europe in one of the busiest Chiropractic clinics in the United Kingdom.

In October 2010 I moved back to Australia with my partner Nicky (our Physiotherapist in Mooloolaba) to start Absolute Health and Chiropractic in Noosa and Mooloolaba.

As a health care provider, I believe that personalised, preventative care is of the utmost importance in helping each individual to achieve their health goals. Many people come and see me due to a specific health concern like low back pain, neck pain or headaches, but stay under Chiropractic care for prevention and wellness.
